If you're a rugby player overseas, and considering playing some rugby in the United States, you should know that Portland has a long history of hosting visiting players from all over the world. In fact, some of them enjoyed it so much they decided to make Portland their permanent home (legally, of course).

In addition to Portland's long standing relationship with Portandown RFC in Northern Ireland, that has allowed many fine players to experiece rugby in Maine, the club has also hosted players from England, Wales, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji and South Africa.

So if you're thinking of an extended playing vacation in the U.S.A., please contact the club and we'll do whatever we can (within the bounds of the law) to make your stay in Portland as inexpensive as possible. Free accomodations are often available, and the beer flows like water over here!
