| Maine College Cup |
Portland Rugby Club is the proud sponsors of the annual Maine Collegiate Rugby Championship. Each Spring the best male and female college rugby players in the State come together to battle for bragging rights, and for selection to the State All-Star Team (many of whom go on to play for the NERFU select side). Rain or shine, the Maine College Cup is a great event, helping grow the game at the grassroots level. We hope you'll come on out and support the event! The 2011 tournament has been scheduled for April 23rd and promises a full day of rugby. The first games will kick off around 8:00 a.m. and run until 4:00 p.m., so there's plenty of rugby to take in. Here's a look at the preliminary schedule for the day:

Over the years the Championship has produced some scintilating rugby, and many of the players have continued their rugby career with Portland men's and women's teams.
